Job Description

Join Crescita, a Canadian commercial dermatology company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. We offer a range of high-quality over-the-counter skin care products and pharmaceuticals. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing activities related to financial and manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, factory accounting, and absorption calculations.
  • Reconcile bank statements, manage cash flow, and execute electronic payments (EFT).
  • Handle payroll accounting, including reconciliation with the general ledger.
  • Declare and remit sales taxes.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on inventory, production, margins, and forecasts.
  • Issue bi-weekly sales reports.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including reporting package for management.
  • Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit.
  • Prepare annual standard cost calculations and update material, labor, packaging, and finished product costs in SAP.
  • Prepare quarterly analysis of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and related estimates for manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in the annual physical inventory count and cycle counts.
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing processes, financial reporting controls, and inventory management.
  • Contribute actively to the team's success by flexibly and collaboratively completing any other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA professional designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes.
  • Autonomy, motivation, ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional judgment and strong communication skills - fully bilingual (French and English, oral and written).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Practical mastery of a major ERP system (knowledge of SAP is a significant asset).
