Job Description

Responsibilities

Manage, supervise, and mobilize the team of estimators.
Validate quantities, estimates, budgets, and bids prepared by the team.
Participate in the realization and validate preliminary schedules.
Prepare bids and validate received submissions.
Participate in updating material prices and subcontractor costs.
Participate in selecting subcontractors in collaboration with project managers.
Complete estimates for strategic projects.
Conduct site visits to assess potential projects.
Identify project risks and propose optimization strategies.
Monitor active projects to compare budgeted versus actual variations.
Support the sales team in client presentations.
Ensure continuous improvement of estimation and bidding processes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-10 years experience in estimating residential projects in Quebec.
Degree in civil engineering, architecture, estimation, or relevant field.
Proven experience with a general contractor in Quebec.
Excellent understanding of plans, specifications, and technical requirements.
Ability to accurately evaluate complex projects.
Natural leadership and team mobilization skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Organizational skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
Fluency in French, functional English is an asset.
Knowledge of estimation and project management tools (Procore, Outbuild, Excel, etc.).
