Job Description

LOFT Community Services is seeking a Relief Personal Support Worker to provide support to residents with complex challenges in a supportive housing environment.

Responsibilities

Attend to physical, cognitive, mental health, and social/recreational needs of residents
Support with personal activities of daily living
Encourage normalized lifestyle and skill development
Provide medical support, medication reminders, and monitoring
Assist with daily living chores and behavior management
Offer social support and escort to appointments
Maintain records and participate in meetings

Qualifications

Degree/diploma in human services
2+ years of experience with client population
Knowledge of issues faced by special needs adults
Ability to work in a team environment and conduct meetings
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literacy and organizational skills
