Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee key tax functions for a leading renewable energy company. This role involves ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic tax planning, with a focus on Canadian tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and timely filing of corporate tax returns and compliance requirements in Canada.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and internal finance teams for tax planning strategies.
  • Oversee tax provisions for financial reporting under US GAAP.
  • Analyze tax positions and ensure accurate reconciliation of tax rates.
  • Manage tax audits, respond to inquiries, and liaise with tax authorities.
  • Provide guidance on tax implications for business transactions and restructuring.
  • Develop tax forecasting models and support financial planning initiatives.
  • Ensure all legal entities comply with tax registrations and obligations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes for efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changing tax laws to provide proactive guidance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of corporate tax experience.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, or CA).
  • Strong expertise in Canadian corporate tax laws.
  • Experience with tax planning in a complex organizational setting.
