Job Description
A Vancouver-based Steel Fabrication organization is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team.
Responsibilities
This position provides expertise in the efficient administration of trade contracts, including database set-up and invoicing for payment, inventory management, ensuring shipping and receiving timelines, documentation and control of payables and receivables, and other general duties in supplying value for service to customers within an assigned group of accounts.
To share the strategy of the Business department and support administration according to it.
Data collection from daily downloads and transfer to Excel spreadsheet for processing
Preparation of documents reflecting trade contracts, purchases, returns, damaged materials etc.
Invoicing and debit/credit note preparation and ensuring proper posting to SAP accounting system
Interaction with clients following up on contract regulations, communication with traffic dept. and other inquiries
Monthly reporting on scrap, month-end inventories, overdue reports, and account clearing activity
Processing of office requirements such as mail, courier, Email, Newspapers, cards etc.
Processes credit line applications and gets approval on time.
Monitors supply and pricing trends
Identifies areas for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
Assisting with quotations and proposals
Organizing and preparing marketing material
Qualifications
University degree, or general college diploma + equivalent experience and training in a related field
2-5 years of general business experience
High level of attention to detail
Strong communication skills
