Join our client, a leader in the creative production industry, as an Intermediate Accountant. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks and collaborating with different teams to improve financial processes.
Manage day-to-day accounting functions including cash flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, and vendor/customer account management.
Record and review journal entries; assist in the preparation and close of monthly and annual financial reports.
Perform regular payroll updates and employee benefits administration in collaboration with HR and payroll teams.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data consistency across internal systems.
Prepare customized financial analyses and reporting dashboards using advanced Excel tools (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
Support the organization?s budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking initiatives.
Participate in finance team initiatives focused on automating and enhancing financial reporting and internal controls.
Assist with audit preparation, year-end closing tasks, and special finance projects as assigned.
3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience in a dynamic business environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets with ease.
Experience using QuickBooks Desktop or similar accounting platforms.
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward a CPA designation considered a strong asset.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently while also collaborating across departments.
Must reside in Ontario and be able to attend the Ottawa office in a hybrid capacity.
