Job Description

A well-established mid-sized public accounting firm in the Markham area is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing tax team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage tax engagements including compliance, planning, and advisory projects
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior tax professionals
Handle complex files related to estate planning, corporate restructuring, and cross-border tax issues
Work with a variety of private companies and high-net-worth individuals
Liaise with CRA and other tax authorities as required

Qualifications

CPA designation (Canadian and/or U.S.)
Completion of CPA Canada?s In-Depth Tax Course or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-4 years of Canadian tax experience
Strong background in Canadian tax compliance and tax planning
Experience working with owner-managed businesses and cross-border tax matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with tax software such as CaseWare, TaxPrep, ProSystem fx Tax, or similar
