Job Description

The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment at all facilities by developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, policies, and procedures company-wide and at a regulatory level.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs
  • Conduct incident investigations
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections
  • Develop emergency response plans
  • Implement machine safety protocols
  • Promote a safety-first culture
  • Ensure proper selection and maintenance of safety equipment
  • Analyze safety performance data
  • Stay updated on safety trends and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in Environmental Health & Safety role
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to travel within Canada
