Job Description

The Mechanical Superintendent for construction equipment is responsible for maintenance and repair activities in the workshop, fleet, and inventory. The position is based in Montreal-Est and requires in-person work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan maintenance and repairs for construction equipment fleet in collaboration with fleet coordinator
  • Supervise mechanics in maintenance and repair tasks
  • Monitor and optimize team activities
  • Ensure equipment functionality on construction sites
  • Guarantee repair quality through required quality checks
  • Enforce health and safety standards
  • Manage budget for heavy equipment maintenance
  • Handle supplies and stocks in collaboration with fleet coordinator
  • Evaluate team performance and training needs
  • Stay updated on industry techniques
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Demonstrate autonomy and leadership
  • Adhere to company values regarding health/safety, quality, and sustainability
  • Perform other related tasks

Qualifications

  • DEP in heavy machinery or construction equipment mechanics
  • Over 5 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics
  • Minimum 3 years of personnel management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MIR software
  • Valid driver's license
