Job Description

We are hiring a Commercial Project Manager to lead a new project in Picton. The role involves managing commercial construction projects, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Outline and manage project scope
  • Manage project budget, schedule, safety, and quality
  • Chair project status meetings
  • Monitor construction activities and update schedules
  • Review timesheets and approve invoices
  • Conduct site inspections for quality control
  • Work on project staffing requirements
  • Prepare regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Assist in pre-development planning and post-development work
  • Administer contracts and manage contract changes

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • PEng certification an asset
  • PMP certification highly desirable
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in construction industry
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager
  • Deep understanding of building codes and regulations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of construction law and building codes
  • Conflict resolution and leadership skills
