Job Description

Join a fast-paced start-up Accounting and Finance team as a Controller. Oversee accounting operations, drive financial reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Prepare timely and accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Conduct financial and variance analyses to inform senior leadership decision-making.
Oversee accounting functions: AP, AR, general ledger.
Develop internal controls, ensuring GAAP and tax compliance.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial strategy.
Mentor and develop finance team members.
Contribute to process improvements and system implementations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
3-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment, including managing inventory.
Strong background in internal controls, financial systems, and US taxation.
Skilled in data-driven reporting and tools like Power BI.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
