Job Description

PointClickCare is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of applications, mentor team members, and deliver technical objectives within a Scrum team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
  • Work with the business to iterate over software requirements
  • Develop tools and applications with clean, efficient code
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products

Qualifications

  • Experience writing clean code using Java
  • Knowledge of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
  • Proficiency in GIT and writing RESTful API endpoints
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and system monitoring tools
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
