Job Description

Join Brookfield Renewable as a Senior Accountant, Project Accounting for a 12-month contract. Be responsible for the monthly accounting cycle and financial statements preparation for various sites under the Wind and/or Solar Platform.

Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for assigned companies
Prepare analysis for complex accounting issues
Prepare accounting and financial statements
Coordinate with internal departments for variance analysis
Review and maintain general ledger accounts
Prepare journal entries for fixed assets and construction projects
Lead or participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Working towards or completion of CPA/CA
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
Experience in publicly traded companies preferred
