Job Description

Employezz is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team at our Toronto manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports and maintaining compliance with company accounting policies.

Responsibilities

Preparation and analysis of monthly P&L Statements and account analysis.
Activity based Product Costing, Standard cost and variance analysis.
General accounting functions including A/P, month-end journal entries and accruals.
Work closely with managers and staffs to provide insightful financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls documentation.
Develop and refine month-end processes.

Qualifications

5 - 10 years of related accounting experience in cost accounting in manufacturing.
Working knowledge of GAAP.
Strong analytical skills and ability to see the relationships between operations and financial results.
Results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
