Job Description

Synechron is seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer with strong expertise in Java to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with large datasets and will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures for our big data solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data processing systems using big data technologies.
Develop high-quality code in Java to build data ingestion and processing frameworks.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot data processing jobs to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to implement and manage big data solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to big data and Java.

Qualifications

Strong background in problem solving, OOP, data structures and algorithms.
10+ years backend application development experience in Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
5+ years in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
Experience in developing/designing micro-service architecture.
Proven hands-on experience in containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift etc.
Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders - business and technical.
