Job Description

The main responsibility of the Habitation Coordinator position is to coordinate and promote the housing service of the Foundation. This role involves managing human, material, and financial resources in line with the Foundation's strategic directions.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing housing service objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate fundraising activities.
  • Ensure maintenance and security of buildings.
  • Respond promptly to tenant complaints.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedule with maintenance workers.
  • Selection of tenants.
  • Establish tenant consultation committees.
  • Hire, support, and supervise employees.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Plan and manage preventive maintenance of buildings.
  • Identify material needs and follow up on them.
  • Prepare reports and statistics as requested.
  • Evaluate existing services and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in housing service budgeting.
  • Ensure sound budget management.
  • Coordinate team meetings.
  • Hold regular coaching sessions with the team.
  • Develop relationships to promote the Foundation's mission.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • University degree.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in social housing.
  • Knowledge of community sector organizations and volunteers.
  • Knowledge of health and social services network.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and judgment.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written French.
  • Good knowledge of real estate issues.
  • Knowledge of housing organizations such as APQ, SHQ, OMH, and FOHM.
